I have been calling it the Boyds's Bear Meca, and believe me it is. Michael and I went to visit the "humongous" teddy bear store, 135,000 square feet. We enjoyed every inch of it. Starting from when we drove up the driveway. It had been raining during the drive to Gettysburg, but as we turn the corner to the entrance, the sun broke through and illuminated the countryside and the Boyds building. There are wonderful displays...great ideas for displaying your own collection, whether they are Boyds only, or a mix. Of course there where plenty of bears to purchase...approximately 66,000....so, the display read. Christmas, Spring, Halloween, you name it is was there. Boyds clothing and yes cookies, too! They even had activities, like dress a bear or make a bear wreath. I specifically enjoyed the achives of Boyds bears on display. If you love teddy bears, this is a must see...remember to tell them you heard about it on Teddybears.com! |
